Wayne's Blog on his American Experience

Hello. my name is Wayne Ashmeade. I an currently a student enrolled at Ohio State University and currently enrolled in English 367, The American Experience, as one of my classes this quarter. My current major is Geography, mainly because of my interest in maps. Some of my hobbies include surfing the internet, listening to music, and reading. Although the internet is one of my hobbies, I never write blogs. Nor do I use any social networking site, nor do I email anyone. Some of the topics that I will post on this blog will be discussing the assignments that I worked on and a poem.

There are many assignments that i worked on during class. One example of an assignment that I worked on was the poem about Rachel Carson and her achievements. Another assignment that I completed was discussing the film When the Levees Broke, which discussed the tragic events of Hurricane Katrina. There are many things that I learned from these assignments. I have learned about the lives, careers, and experiences of typical Americans. They are living a free life, having the freedom to express their thoughts. But they also have the responsibility to take care of themselves as well.
